I’ve been working on a bunch of stuff in Lost Sosaria proper, but the site design was getting on my nerves (am I ever happy?), so I opted to shift to something I found to be a little more…pleasing. And old-timey.
Also, I’ve changed the gallery component there away from Coppermine, and over to something a little more Wordpress-integrated. Among other things, it adds some nice AJAX magic to image-viewing, but also allows me to display gallery sections here on the site without having to redirect the Reader to a gallery sub-site.
NWN 1.69 was just released; this is the final patch BioWare plans to release for the game. It introduced a bunch of new tilesets and graphics changes, so some of the tilesets I’m using will be adapting to those changes in the near future; look for such changes to be reflected here on the site as they happen.

That’s right, dear Readers — Ultima: Aiera now has its own domain: www.ultimaaiera.com. Don’t worry, though — your bookmarks for aiera.timeimmortal.net should still work. Wordpress is cool that way.
There’s actually a reason for the move, in that I’m looking to counteract the “subdomain sprawl” I seem to have developed on my server, and in so doing make the arrangement and distribution of subdomains a little more intelligent. In this specific case, I’ll be moving the Lost Sosaria subdomain over to this domain — it makes more sense to me, from an organizational perspective, to have my Ultima-related project be attached directly to my Ultima news website.
There’s one other reason as well, and that is to provide a framework through which to offer Ultima project developers who need web space the opportunity to have a subdomain set up for their project at Aiera directly, whether to host downloads or an entire project website as need dictates.
At any rate, the site has been configured to use http://www.ultimaaiera.com as its base URL, so when you click on links from now on, even if you came here via the old address (which will, as I note, continue to work), you’ll be taken to the new domain. I don’t foresee any problems, but if the reader should notice any I encourage him or her to let me know.

As of July 23rd, and until August 11th, I will be in Hylands Park and London, both in England, attending the 21st World Scouts Jamboree. If any of Aiera’s readers will also be in attendance there, you are more than welcome to come and hunt me down; it’s likely that I’ll be spending a fair bit of my time in the Faith and Beliefs area, as that is where I have volunteered to work as a part of the IST (International Service Team). More specifically, I’ll be there to talk about Catholicism.
Regarding the site here, however, I will of course probably not have time to manage Aiera whilst I am abroad. If anyone would like to help out during my absence, by posting any important news that may come up in the community, please let me know via the contact form. I will set you up a login and provide instruction in how to post news to the site (being that the site is a Wordpress implementation, posting news is really easy to begin with).
I’ll put up one more news posting this week, probably on Wednesday, just to re-cap any developments in the community to date. After that, I’m out of here, and will see you all in August.
